Integrated Solutions for Systems (IS4S) Looking for Engineer / Developer for Electronic Warfare Systems – Auburn, AL at Auburn, AL  Full Time

• developing interfaces between sensors and distributed applications,
• implementing signal processing and data fusion algorithms in embedded hardware or computer systems to measure, understand, and impact the EW environment,
• determining and driving data flows through multiple, interacting processes,
• developing web-based plugins to existing Command and Control components,
• creating analysis, assessment, and visualization tools for engineering purposes or to inform customers and end users,
• and software and hardware in the loop testing, live testing at local sites, and live testing at Government sites

Candidates should enjoy working a variety of interrelated tasks that may be different in nature. Though the position will be an addition to an existing team, candidates are expected to be self-driven problem solvers capable of operating independently on some tasks. Candidates must have strong analytical and communication skills. The position requires knowledge in multiple areas across signal processing, Unix systems, networking, development, as well as regular customer interaction through meetings, briefings, and reporting. Some responsibilities necessary for execution may be physical in nature (e.g., packing and moving test equipment, installing sensors in vehicles, setting up communication network using masts, etc.). Both full and part-time applicants will be considered, subject to the requirements listed below. Candidate must be a US citizen and eligible for a DoD clearance.
Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related technical field (for full-time applicants)
• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related technical field (for part-time applicants)
• Proficient in C++ and/or Java
• Experience developing web applications
• Ability to turn concepts into efficient algorithms
• Knowledge of Unix systems, particularly at the command line
• High MS Excel and Word proficiency
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability and motivation to work with minimal direction

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Electronic Warfare experience
• JICD 4.2 and mission app experience
• Experience with Army Command and Control systems
• Familiarity with Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing concepts and systems
• Familiarity with software defined radios and/or experience with FPGA development using VHDL
• Data Distribution Service and other middleware or transport mechanisms
• Unix networking, scripting, and/or operating system expertise, all at the command line level
• Ability to generate graphics and visuals to facilitate communication
