Responsibilities of the Mechanical Designer:
Creativity: Discuss design concepts and details directly with customers, colleagues and manufacturing floor toolmakers.
Problem Solve: Offer suggestions, answers, and alternatives for customer’s questions, concerns, or problems.
Develop: Draft conceptual and detailed design drawings and specifications for custom tooling, GD&T gages, and progressive stamping dies.
Manage: Create custom quotation packages outlining to customers your design solutions.
Collaborate: Work closely with our Tool & Diemakers and/or Stamping Press Production Teams to address questions or concerns as they bring your designs to life.

Qualifications of the Mechanical Designer:
CAD design knowledge and capability (SolidWorks and Logopress).
Strong mechanical aptitude and creativity.
The ability and desire to learn new things (you were the kid that took things apart around the house to see how they worked, frustrating your parents).
Ability to listen well and convey ideas with confidence and poise.
