About the Role

Seeking to hire a Full-time Assistant Controller to join our Accounting team. As an Assistant Controller you will work with internal teams as well as clients on a number of key partnership accounting activities, including but not limited to capital calls, distributions, quarterly and annual reporting, external audits and general ledger management. This person will work extensively with other teams within the organization including Sales, Operations, Development, and the Executive Team. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in partnership accounting in the Venture Capital or Private Equity industry. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

• Perform & review daily fund accounting functions
• Perform & review cash reconciliations for multiple entities
• Manage general ledger journal entries & review for accuracy
• Coordinate capital calls, allocations and distributionsInterface with clients
• Assist in preparation & review of quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple clients
• Assist in preparation & review of investor and accounting reports
• Assist in the preparation & review of external audit deliverables and requests
• Provide support to external auditors and tax providers

Abilities & Skills

• 5-7 years experience in partnership accounting in the Venture Capital or Private Equity industry
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Knowledge of fund structures should include, Master/Feeder, separately managed accounts, and private equity
• Specific knowledge around SPVs is a plus
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in excel
• Quickbooks and other accounting software solutions involving journal entries is a plus
• Highly detail oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A desire to learn and take on increasingly new and challenging tasks
