iA American Warranty LP Looking for Accountant at Remote Full Time

How your role contributes to the success of the business
The Accountant role is responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the organization. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, examining, and analyzing a company’s accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures. You’ll work in our Reinsurance Accounting Team.

Your day to day:

• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
• Managing income and expenditure accounts
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on the financial status
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Prepare month-end accruals
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Maintain monthly fixed assets
• Maintain monthly intangible amortizations
• Maintain monthly depreciation
• Assist with annual financial audit
• Assist with ACH and check approvals

Who you are: an accounting professional with at least 3 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent exp.
