Position SummaryThe Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning has administrative and supervisory duties and authority delegated by the Principal. The Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning will solely focus on supporting, training, coaching and evaluating staff regarding academic instruction. In addition, the Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning will analyze instructional data to implement Response to Intervention and academic programming.Essential Functions of PositionResponsibilities: Observations – unannounced and announced of staffTeacher formative and summative evaluationsParaprofessional instructional scheduling and professional developmentPlan and lead teacher professional developmentFacilitate instructional professional learning communities / common planningSupport principal with master schedulingSchool improvement planningCurriculum alignmentSchool based assessment creation and alignmentInstructional data analysis and reportingModel lessons/co-teaching to build teacher capacity Response to intervention planningEnsure core curriculum program implementation with fidelityAttend school-based functions i.e. sporting events, dances, parent conferences, etc., and as assignedOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as business needs require.
