The Position
The mission of every Robertson employee is to execute their responsibilities with the #1 goal of saving and protecting the lives of service members across the globe.  Design Engineer — Research & Development, draft and develop innovative aircraft fuel system components; and write clear and concise test plans, reports, memos, and trip reports. Design Engineers may assume Project Lead roles as described below.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a design engineer role; or a Master’s Degree in Engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Â Previous employment in engineering field (commercial, military, or defense engineering) is preferred.

Physical Demands
Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel may be required. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, sit and stand. The incumbent is occasionally required to climb, squat, bend, or kneel. The incumbent must occasionally lift or carry a maximum of 50 pounds; as well as push or pull a maximum of 100 pounds. The incumbent will regularly use hand tools including but not limited to wrenches, sockets, drills, screwdrivers, rulers, and calipers. The incumbent will occasionally use powered equipment including but not limited to company computers, vehicles, golf carts, fork lifts and hoists. Ability to drive a company vehicle per Employee Policy Manual E.7.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to dirty working conditions, heat or cold ranging between 65 and 80 degree ambient conditions, vapors or fumes, and dust shavings. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate (
