Job Description
LEAD ACCOUNTANT: 1) Leads financial accounting, compliance, and finance operations including accounts payable 2) assists with the preparation and timely submission of the agency’s financial statements and filing requirements coordinating with senior accountant and human resources 3) monitors financial controls for day-to-day accounting transactions 4) evaluates and advises on the financial impact of new federal regulatory requirements and funding activities 5) assists with the agency’s annual budgeting process 6) assists with management of cash and treasury functions 7) participates in the communication of the agency’s results of operations, accounting policies and procedures, forecasts and other relevant financial information and 8) works as an active team member with other support staff and center staff.
Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a concentration in Accounting of 15 credit hours or more; CPA preferred. Seven years of progressive experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position. Creative and strategic thinker with a strong intellect. Strong leadership, management, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in working with accounting systems and knowledgeable in payroll/human resources software experienced in spreadsheet preparation and analysis.

Salary: $87,492.47 Annually
