Middle School English Teacher
Harvard-Westlake seeks to hire an exceptional and highly qualified educator for a Middle School English teaching position. The position will begin in August for the 2022-23 school year.
Our middle school consists of 7th, 8th, and 9th grades; interested candidates should have the ability and interest in working with all three grade levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a knowledge of and passion for English, creative writing, and world literature as well as experience working with students to develop their writing skills. Candidates should be prepared to integrate themselves in the life of the school. The English department values team teaching, innovation, and collegiality. While primarily an English teaching position, the full teaching load will likely include a course outside of English, such as journalism, public speaking, debate, human development, or study skills and technology.
