Hartwell Corporation looking for Painter A 2nd Shift at Placentia, CA  Full Time

Job Description

PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES
Under the direction of the Lead/Supervisor, the painter is responsible for applying paints, clear coat and dry film lube to components, sub-assembles and top-level assemblies per specifically controlled internal and Nadcap requirements.   
ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned
  1. Mixing water-based primers and epoxy/polyurethane topcoats.
  2. Preparing required certification sheets for specific processes.
  3. Wearing a respirator and using a gravity feed air spray gun, apply coatings to products in a spray booth as directed on workorders and engineering drawings.
  4. Perform required maintenance in spray booths and on spray gun.
  5. Run ovens as needed and maintain oven temperature charts.
  6. Adhere to safety regulations.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  1. High School diploma
  2. Previous painting experience in aerospace or the automotive industry.
  3. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
  4. Proficient in spoken and written English
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Experience using and troubleshooting gravity spray gun.
  2. Able to clearly write in required information on paint certification sheets.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members.
