Brake Operator Duties and Responsibilities:

• grind, cut, blueprint reading, read tape measure, layout, fitting, squaring, Arc gouging, operating cutting torches, and plasma cutter AWS standards.
• Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, set up and measure assemblies, and select appropriate methods.
• perform various tank modifications.
• Reviews manufacturing instructions, diagrams, charts, and repair orders to determine work scope.
• Regularly attend work as scheduled.
• Follow safety rules and/or guidelines while performing daily work. Completes process control records.

Brake Operator Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of related experience in fabrication.
• The successful completion of an accredited welding course is desired.
• Able to stand, stoop, and bend, sometimes for long periods.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Motorized pallet jack,
• Welding equipment, MIG, TIG, and stick, plasma and acetylene torches, and arc gouging equipment,
• Common hand tools.
