Come and join our team! Grebe’s Bakery has a full time Deli Cook position open for our retail store located at 5132 W. Lincoln Ave. Grebe’s has been a family owned and operated for over 80 years! Grebe’s sells quality bakery throughout the state to over 120 convenience and grocery stores daily. Our retail store is the face of our business. We are looking for a fun, driven, and creative cook to join our team. The cook will be responsible for breakfast and lunch sandwich creation. Use your imagination to dream up new ideas for sandwiches and create your masterpieces! The fun doesn’t stop there though. As the cook you will also help out with soups, salads, and bento boxes.
Duties include:
- Setting up your station according to Grebe’s guidelines
- Prepare all food items as directed in a precise, sanitary, and timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifics set forth by Grebe’s
- Restock items needed throughout your shift
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment at your station including a flat top grill
- Assists in the cleaning, sanitation, and organization or work space, coolers and all storage areas
Cook will not be responsible for any cash handling.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- ServSafe certification preferred but not required
- Previous food service preferred
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Ability to model great customer service
- Ability to work from a standing position for the majority of an 8 hour shift
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast paced environment
