OVERVIEW
As an Account Executive (AE), you will be responsible for growing sales through the introduction and execution of sales plans and programs for key distributor and operator accounts. This role is based out of Las Vegas and will be a part of the fabulous W2 that spans across Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas and Western Missouri!
Your business will support operators across multiple channels including K-12, Commercial, Lodging Healthcare, Colleges & Universities, and Business & Industry. You will be challenged to find ways to continue to deliver volume growth while building relationships in a dynamic marketplace.
The Las Vegas AE role is responsible for growing sales with regional distributors Shetakis, Nicholas, and Anderson Dairy as well as national distributors Sysco Las Vegas and US Foods Las Vegas. This role offers a differential experience of managing national gaming RFP contracts with the expectation to bring on new casino customers. The Las Vegas market brings a wealth of opportunity to grow with multi-unit commercial chain accounts. In addition, you will be responsible for increasing our K-12 presence, partnership, and menu placement at one of the largest school districts in the country based in Las Vegas. Strong candidates for this role will demonstrate high bias for action and exceptional relationship building skills.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Innovation & Strategy
- Build a deep understanding of your customers and business to analyze and identify key opportunities consistent with the business plan
- Embrace Salesforce as the daily tool to manage and grow our business.
- Formulate plans to build a balanced, sustainable, and growing business with your Distributors and Operators
- Develop impactful relationships with distributor management
- Create new strategies to influence Distributor Sales Reps to sell General Mills products
- Plan and implement merchandising and marketing programs specific to the accounts within your territory
Business Planning & Executional Excellence
- Execute division level and local programs as outlined by National Account Executives
- Negotiate RFP contracts with new and existing gaming customers
- Successfully launch new products through the implementation of national focused promotions and programs
- Financial management and responsibility for funds as outlined for Travel & Expense and distributor trade budgets
- Coordination and communication of information that will assist the Region Manager in managing the trade budget including approvals, business reviews, and regular updates
- Responsible for managing distributor marketing funds and negotiating marketing agreements with distributors.
Influential Leadership
- Partner with cross-functional peers across North America Foodservice (NAF) segment to grow our business
- Build rapport and credibility with external partners to achieve shared goals
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate food shows, vendor fairs, and sales meetings, as well as operator product trainings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 Years of Foodservice Industry Experience
