BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports to the Business Line / Unit Leader and is responsible for all aspects of the defined Area within their market/geography/client/ service / practice function.
• Required to collaborate with BL/BU Leaders / Managers. Supervises other Managers and Staff within their Area.
• Responsible for execution of operation and strategy in alignment with CBG/BL/BU.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for developing and executing business plan and business development plan (geography, function, client) with oversight of the practices (staff) associated with the business line. May have other Area, Org and Client Manager supervision responsibilities.
• Obtains Direction and Approvals from BL /BU Director or Leader as necessary.
• Obligated to coordinate with other Business entities across enterprise in order to achieve the goals outlined within the strategic business plan.
• Market.
• Responsible for effective business development in alignment with BL/CBGs.
• Responsible for knowledge of local and regional business environment, key clients, emerging opportunities, geopolitics, etc.
• Coordinates / supports client managers and capture managers.
• Responsible for input regarding Go-No Go decisions.
• Ensures cross selling of BL and Practices.
• Serves as Market / Client / Capture Manager Operations.
• Responsible for the development and execution of the BL/BU/Area business plan under guidance of CBG/ BL /BU Director or Leader.
• Manages, and facilitates coordination of practices (staff) in the defined Area.
• Responsible for performance of Project Principals and Project Managers and the work they manage.
• Ensure that the tenets of the Quality Management System are adhered to.
• Identifies and implements areas of needs for hires, staff promotions, and staff development with
• Responsible for safety performance.
• Serves as Project Principal / Sr. PM /PM Metrics.
• Primary performance metric is Gross Profit for Area (geography, function, client).
• Ensure client satisfaction is achieved for all projections within scope of responsibility.
• Project performance metrics include Revenue Factor, NLM for projects owned and working, and variance.
• Manage utilization of staff.
• Responsible for meeting area sales & revenue goals established during the annual performance review process.
• Owning billing and Accounts Receivable status within area of responsibility.
• Accountable for positive employee relations, employee wellness, learning and innovation for their staff.
• Responsible for effective overhead management

Education | Experience:

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

• BS in engineering, architecture, geology or other appropriate field of study.
• MS in engineering, architecture, geology or other appropriate field of study is preferred.
• Professional licensure and/or registration or appropriate certifications and ability to obtain in multiple jurisdictions

TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• 15+ years of applicable experience demonstrating leadership and the ability to think critically in order to achieve the stated goals.
• Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of advanced analysis/design software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to lead client presentations
• Member of a professional practice organization with a leading role in national committee or program
• At least five years prior experience with supervision of staff
• Project Management (PMP) and/or advanced technical certification (D.GE, LEG), preferred
