QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) – American Heart Association; Enrolled in program – Enrolled in a fully accredited school of nursing by either CCN(Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education) or NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).; Must have successfully completed year one Nursing Fundamentals at their approved school of nursing to qualify for PCN-1.

Nurses develop their best skills through a combination of education and real-life experience. Our Patient Care Novices work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist in providing high quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to learn hands-on care and gain experience recognizing signs and symptoms and how to respond. If you can observe and turn instruction into compassionate, quality care, this is the job for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities as needed of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.

Contribute to patient care in a safe environment as well as maintaining equipment, supplies, and stock in a safe and efficient manner.

Communicate effectively data and significant patient information to the attention of the RN.

Document data collected during the provision of patient care in a timely manner.

Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities as needed of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.
