Summary:
The New Payroll Associate will be responsible for the online reporting of Certified Payrolls, (CPR), using Third Party Software. There are four different online Service Centers currently in use, each one has its own reporting requirements. Submission of the CPR’s requires a weekly reporting cycle that must be accomplished on time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a schedule of jobs that require electronic certified payroll reporting.
- Construct the export files and uploading into the appropriate website.
- Approve the online certified payrolls for our subcontractors.
- Interface with employees on payroll related questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage, hour and tax laws.
- Assist with payroll accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliation for payroll accounts.
- Develop payroll reports for management.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercises a high level of discretion on all matters,
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School or GED plus one (1) year of payroll related experience is required.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, accuracy and methodical problem solving.
- Teamwork skills; promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals.
- Possess a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and data-driven organization.
