Corporate Process Engineering Manager, Flex-N-Gate Michigan, LLC. Troy, MI. Manage and mentor the Process Engineering Department. Evaluate internal procedures, equipment, and key personnel to design processes that optimize cost effectiveness. Lead engineering activities through design, optimization and troubleshooting of new processes and improvements to existing processes. Coordinate the technical transfer of new products from research and development to high volume product commercialization. Create process flow charts, control plans, and work instructions for manufacturing. Verify practices for efficiency and accuracy to implement processes that improve quality and safety. Ensure all assembly processes operate within lean manufacturing principles. Establish and maintain work standards for improvement in material handling. Support the Process Engineering and Quality Departments staff by providing ongoing training and development. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and five (5) years of related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept 7 years of related work experience. Must have five (5) years of experience with/in: · Working with multiple teams, including engineering, operations, maintenance, and supervisors to develop and implement process improvements; · Collecting and reporting data related to daily, weekly, or monthly operating performance to the senior management; · Maintaining up-to-date work instructions, process control plans and other standard operating procedures documentation; · Reviewing tool designs and making recommendations to the manufacturing process that optimize performance; · Troubleshooting complex manufacturing process performance issues; and · Identifying opportunities for improvement in product quality and reliability; 15% to 20% domestic travel required.
