Five Points Learning is a dedicated and results-driven learning program currently serving the greater New York City area. We specialize in providing academic assistance, standardized test preparation and high school and college admissions consulting.

Five Points Learning is now hiring for part-time tutor positions. We seek experienced K-8 Math and ELA tutors.

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching or learning and as such, we spend a great deal of time developing positive role-model relationships with our students. We are great motivators and passionate educators that genuinely care about the success and performance of our students.

Our approach emphasizes positive learning delivered by enthusiastic and capable instructors who not only help students with their academic needs but also work to improve their overall confidence and love of learning.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Degree in education a plus
• Experience teaching 1-2 years
• Ability to teach writing and grammar
• Ability to teach math through Algebra
• Passion for education and for helping children improve academically
• Ability to motivate and instill confidence in all types of learners
• Persuasive and enthusiastic personality with an ability to relate to people of different ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Highly motivated and energetic
• Relentlessly positive and optimistic
• Organized, punctual, and polite.

Salary: $20.00 to $50.00/hour
