Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar Looking for Staff Accountant at Remote Full Time

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant works with the CFO and Operations Team to provide day-to-day accounting responsibilities including but not limited to revenue accounting, accounts payable, bank reconciliations and sales tax compliance.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Perform a wide variety of general accounting functions including journal entries, month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations
• Review, audit, and import daily restaurant sales data
• Accounts payable review and approval
• Credit card reconciliations
• Complete operating and depository account bank reconciliations
• Calculate and file sales/use tax returns
• Communicate with restaurant management to obtain and/or explain financial information
• Assist with budgets and cash flow forecasting
• Provide support during audits
• Inventory and food cost valuation
• Various accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred
• 3-5 years in an Accounting role is required
• Intermediate Excel experience required
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and informal communication skills, with managers and team members of all levels
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive, motivated self-starter, with excellentprioritization and organizational skills
• Key characteristics: continuous improvement, excellent time management skills, sense of urgency
• Hospitality experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
