Farallon Consulting, L.L.C. has an opening for a full-time, Staff or Project Environmental Engineer, working remotely and part time in its Issaquah or possibly Seattle, Washington offices. Specialty areas include land development design and permitting assistance, environmental due diligence, site characterization, engineering/remediation services, natural resources, stormwater management, and mediation/litigation support. Summary/Objective
The Staff/Project Engineer will perform professional engineering work supporting a broad range of projects that reflect Farallon’s core practices including:
In addition the Staff/Project Level Geologist provides assistance to technical staff and project managers with investigation and remediation projects. The tasks may include assessment, monitoring and closure needs. Performs field work at project sites, sampling of soil, soil gas, and groundwater, provides data and/or documentation for reports, and support drafting reports.
The engineering work requires a professional knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques for designing straightforward civil and environmental engineering projects involving site work, stormwater, environmental remediation under the direction of senior engineering staff.

Competencies
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has limited supervisory responsibilities of other staff. Coordination of work by and with field, CAD, editing, and administrative staff, and with contractors in the field will be required.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This role also uses equipment necessary to perform specialized field tasks.
Physical Demands
This is an active role. This would require the ability to lift, twist, bend, stand and walk as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, currently scheduled at 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are to be arranged with manager.
Travel
Minimal overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Some local day travel will be necessary.
Required Education and Certification
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in the civil engineering and environmental consulting. Construction experience is a plus.
