• Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
• Assist with preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and contribution margin analysis.
• Assists with maintenance of the general ledger.
• Participates in full-cycle AR processing – PO requests, billing preparation, corrections, reporting, collections, and payment postings.
• Prepares banking journals, bank deposits, and performs banking reconciliations.
• Participates in full-cycle AP processing – vendor account reconciliations, invoice processing, vendor payment and remittance preparations, communications with vendors.
• Manage expense accounts.
• Assist with cash flow report preparation and analysis.
• Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
• Assist with third-party audit; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform an annual audit.
• Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Ability to assist with correct preparation of tax reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
• At least two years of related experience required.
