Ellumen, named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post, is a small business headquartered in Silver Spring, MD. We provide a broad spectrum of information technology and ancillary services to government and commercial customers primarily within the healthcare delivery domain. We seek a Health Informatics Data Analyst to join us in support of a Department of Defense sustainment program.
**Secret Clearance required**
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the maintenance of the Coast Guard health informatics overarching program, scope, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain all existing DHA health informatics reports and tools, update strategy for client integration and use, and maintain all associated service agreements.
- Provide support for day-to-day execution of health informatics reports and data queries in support of planned and/or emergent enterprise data needs.
- Work with solution owner to refine data requests, health governance board, office of data analytics to be compliant with CG data initiatives.
- Collaborate with DHA peers to understand MHS data eco-system to further refine reports/dashboards as needed.
- Provide documentation review, analysis and update assistance in support of the following documents and additional associated support artifacts:
- Develop and update Health Informatics Program Plan
- Develop and update Health Informatics Data Analytics Implementation Plan
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics or work experience equivalent to bachelor’s degree.
- Three years of experience supporting healthcare initiatives and projects
- Knowledge of EHR Workflows and Revenue Cycle
- US Citizen with secret clearance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Query of large databases
- SQL queries writing abilities, preferably Cerner
- Experience with healthcare business operations and population health metrics and reporting
Desired Qualifications:
- Three years of experience working in the military healthcare environment
- Understanding of the unique informatics architecture of the military
- Understanding of large application, database, and queries
- Preferred experience with HealtheIntent, HealtheAnalytics, HealtheRegistries, and Discern Reporting Tool
- Preferred experience as clinician or has worked in healthcare environments (hospitals or clinics) previously
- Preferred Cerner experience
