Eliassen Group Looking for Communications Associate at Rockville, MD  Full Time

Our client, a leading not-for-profit is looking for a Communications Associate tosupport communications initiatives that inform, educate, and motivate Enforcement Department employees.

Responsibilities of the Communications Associate:

• Implement strategic and tactical communications plans that support department initiatives and reflect overall mission and values
• Draft a broad range of written communications
• Work with cross-functional teams and serve as a communications partner to ensure messaging consistency and alignment
• Assist in planning and production of monthly department all hands meetings
• Extract and summarize complex information into a readable, easy to understand format
• Create, edit, and manage content on Enforcement’s SharePoint site
• Provide copy-editing and proofreading support for leadership presentations and messages
• Support communication efforts for Enforcement Conferences and other in-person meetings

Requirements of the Communications Associate:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field and at least 3 years of experience working in a communications-related job
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• AP style familiarity and ability to work within FINRA’s style guidelines
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Ability to exercise careful judgment and discretion with respect to strategic and confidential material
