Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Provides HR guidance and support to client groups in a variety of the following areas: competency development, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement
• Guides/consults with various levels of employees (including senior management) on all issues surrounding employee performance, skill/competency development, workforce planning and organizational effectiveness to help determine root causes and recommend appropriate steps for improvement
• Leads, coordinates, and implements corporate/divisional initiatives, working with a variety of business partners, to encourage and support continuous process improvements, consistency, and business success
• Provides guidance on employee value proposition including, but not limited to, total rewards, recognition, career planning and performance management
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
• Thoroughly conducts and manages complex employee relations situations to encourage compliance and support resolution
• Successful client relations support for all human capital and organizational change activities
• Introduces, leads, and influences change management initiatives with client group leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the human capital capability of the organization
• Successful resolution of employee-related issues, utilizing thorough HR knowledge, in compliance with all governmental, internal, and other agencies’ policies/procedures/laws. Partners with the General Counsel’s Office as needed/required
• Acts as point of contact for employee inquiries and guidance for a variety of HR-related issues/concerns
• Presents or facilitates workshops and/or meetings for organizational and division/specific needs
• Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
• Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
• Master’s degree in HR Management or related concentration preferred
• SPHR and/or SHRM SCP certifications preferred

Relevant Years of Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience in a client-oriented, HR business partner/consulting capacity resolving complex employee relations issues

Other Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical)

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• HRIS experience, preferably with PeopleSoft
• Previous exposure to full range of HR service offerings: Compensation & Benefits, Organizational Change, Employee Relations, Organizational Design & Development; Performance Management
