Purpose: The Social Media Specialist role collaborates with marketing and creative teams to enhance the brand and build strong online communities through the various organic Eddie Bauer social channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.

Job Responsibilities (Text Only):
Core Accountabilities:

Drive best-in-class organic social strategy and culture-forward content with brand fans.

• Work closely with Social Media Manager to develop, plan, and execute monthly and quarterly content calendars
• Ensure day-to-day posts are scheduled and published across Eddie Bauer social media chan­­­nels.
• Generate, edit, publish engaging written, video, and photo content for social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
• Partner with the Social Media Manager to guide creative development of innovative brand social creative, from concept to delivery
• Analyze insights and past performance to inform future content needs.
• Work with Social Media Manager to identify and execute on TikTok and other social trends.
• Write clean, clear copy with authentic brand voice.
• Collaborate with Social Media Manager and ideate relevant and engaging social activations.
• Responsible for being up-to-date on latest social media trends, and executing Eddie Bauer content to stay relevant
• Research and monitor benchmark trends from competitors and audience preferences at a platform level.
• Support manager and agency partners with community management including but not limited to replying to comments, sourcing UGC, and facilitating conversations with audiences online.

Qualifications (Text Only):
Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
• 2-4 years of previous social media and/or creative marketing experience.
• Naturally curious, idea generator, and avid user of social media platforms. Eagerness to explore emerging platforms and think outside of the box.
• Knowledge of consumer behavior and trends in social content and how to apply them to Eddie Bauer’s brand.
• Strong understanding of how to shoot and/or design content that feels authentic and right for specific social platforms.
• Ability to navigate both the creative and analytical sides of social media.
• Ability to brainstorm new ways to bring the brand to life on social media.
• Works well with a team while also being able to multi-task, prioritize and work independently
• Demonstrated experience with social media management tools such as Dash Hudson and Emplifi.

• The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
• Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
• Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates both in a professional office environment using standard office equipment and working remote from home or in the field.
