Title: IT Specialist (Tier I)

Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to provide support through knowledge of basic computer sciences and applied skills and abilities for: diagnosing and resolving basic computer problems; resolving Help Desk issues; resolving Resident issues and tracking associated charges & revenue; document disposal and sanitization of computer equipment; providing basic user training to improve users’ computer literacy and proficiency.
Essential Job Functions:

• Responds to, evaluates, and resolves end user computer problems and questions.
• Responds to Resident computer requests.
• Trains new users and established users on changes to software and hardware.
• Performs many duties involving IT functions including, but not limited to, network connectivity, servers, workstations, printers, Internet, communications, Help Desk support.
• Ensures that all actions pertaining to support tasks are completely documented in the Help Desk system.
• Adds, moves, or changes workstations and IT peripherals.
• Documents and disposal of IT equipment.
• Creates and administers user accounts as well as access to network resources and applications (includes Matrix Care and Lenel Access Control system).
• Works with Low Voltage equipment provided by communication companies and carriers.
• Installs and tests cabling.
• Configures Audio Video, support and setups for various meetings and events.
• Works closely with support teams and sharing information of all product enhancements/ latest releases.
• Maintains an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades.
• Stays current and knowledgeable of changes in Information Technology by reading trade magazines, technical manuals, and internet research.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident/family and facility information.
• Responsible for telephony and emergency alert systems.
• Provides quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and associates.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent with 2 – 4 years experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and /or A + Certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Knowledge of end-user hardware (Laptop, PCs, Printers, Devices).
• Knowledge of Audio-Video equipment and configuration.
• Experience with remote access solutions.
• Experience with automation technologies.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
