Dytran Instruments Inc. designs and manufactures innovative sensors, accelerometers, and associated electronics for measuring dynamic force, pressure, and vibration. We are a part of Spectris Plc and integrated into the Hottinger Bruel and Kjær (HBK) business which provides industry-leading solutions across all test and measurement domains.
We are looking for an experienced Lean Leader to roll out the Spectris Business System (SBS) at our Dytran facility in Chatsworth, CA. Our new Lean Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing the SBS/Lean process at the site and will work closely with our Global Team. This is a key role in the organization as we move Dytran Instruments toward a world-class Lean Operation in strategic, tactical, and operational matters.
As part of the Operations team, your focus will be to deliver results in implementing SBS/Lean techniques across various manufacturing departments. You will lead training/educational sessions, facilitate Kaizen events with colleagues at all levels in the organization and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
We are looking for an experienced Lean professional with a good sense of urgency and a structured approach to leading the lean journey. This individual must be able to address issues pragmatically and deliver solutions that will help to improve our manufacturing efficiencies.
Brief Description
You will be responsible for defining and executing Lean initiatives in line with the SBS/Lean focus of the HBK organization. This continuous improvement program will be defined and implemented into the Strategy Deployment process in close cooperation with stakeholders in various departments. You will be part of the global HBK SBS board and work with colleagues around the globe to further influence and develop the SBS.
Your daily work may include, but is not limited to:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Have a minimum of 5 years of documented experience with Lean implementation and processes. Have a strong understanding of the high fives /continuous improvement methodologies utilizing
SQDIP and how to introduce those initiatives into the manufacturing process. Experience running Kaizen events and delivering efficiency improvements through other Lean tools and approaches. A vision of where we need to go and delivering on execution. You must see yourself as a leader for the journey and lead by example.
