DVx Ventures Looking for HR Generalist | DVx at Remote Full Time

We are seeking a passionate and proactive HR Generalist to support our teams. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the DVx platform team and portfolio companies with all aspects of the employee lifecycle including onboarding and offboarding, policies, process and compliance. You will act as a partner and source of support to our employee community to ensure that they have everything they need to be successful. You will also work in partnership with portfolio teams to provide thought partnership on how to develop and improve their culture and employee experience, as well as provide guidance on employee relations matters.

This can be a remote role, but with flexibility to support East and West coast teams.

Areas of Responsibility

• Own all aspects of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, employee change notices etc.
• Serve as a trusted ally to our internal teams – providing front line guidance to employees who have questions about policies, benefits and everyday questions
• Serve as a source of support to managers on employee relations matters, providing guidance and handling issues as they arise
• Improve, update and maintain policies (i.e. handbooks etc.) as it relates to ongoing compliance with relevant regulations and requirements to minimize risk and exposure
• Manage benefits administration including health and life insurance, leave of absence, vacation/holidays etc.
• Support the Corporate Admin with other contract needs for advisors and contractors, as well as ad-hoc projects
• Work in partnership with Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy; handle compliance needs as needed

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years’ experience in People Operations at an early to mid-stage startup
• Familiarity with ADP Total Source and other cloud-based payroll, benefits and HR management software
• Ability to maneuver across all People disciplines to optimize, improve and streamline processes
• Strong familiarity with government compliance regulations and best practices
• Acute discretion and sensitivity around highly confidential information
• Innate passion for working with people and seeing them succeed
• You are self motivated with the ability to be very successful with limited structure
• You are a collaborator, with a history of building trust across teams and the ability to build relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
• You are a proactive problem solver, always thinking ahead, prioritizing and pivoting quickly
• You are resilient in the face of challenges and change, remaining focused and calm under pressure
