Job summary Extrusion Operator roles on 2nd or 3rd shift
Compensation is $20.74 per hour + $1.25 shift premium
High school diploma or 6-12 months related experience required

Responsibilities • Monitor extruders for continuous operation
• Perform mixing and set-up operation
• Maintain operational log on all settings and temperatures
• Remove and position spools on take-up
• Check lines for roughness, proper test, correct diameter, and elongation
• Monitor wind and tension on spools
• Perform die changes, braid changes, color changes, and material changes
• Record usage of material and note scrap
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble die packs
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean techniques
• Drive continuous improvement within the QMS for Pure Fishing and perform select SAP transactions
Requirements • High school diploma or GED or 6-12 months related experience
• Mechanical aptitude and good hand dexterity and coordination
• Ability to follow set recipes and data to produce quality monofilament
• Ability to work overtime and a 7-day shift operation
• Ability to handle spools and materials weighing from 5 to 50 pounds
• Ability to work under very warm conditions
• Ability to use good judgment to maximize yield while maintaining safety
