The Manager of Scheduling is an integral part of our Provider Services team here at DispatchHealth. This position will be overseeing the scheduling our clinical staff in multiple states and locations. The Manager of Scheduling will be responsible for implementing best practices to be sure all markets are staffed fully and efficiently. A strong attention to detail and organization is required to be successful. This position will be leading the team of schedulers, so leadership experience is required.
The Manager of Scheduling’s provides leadership, support, and ensures alignment to the strategic direction of the business in a complex, ever changing environment. This position is responsible for supporting the departmental vision, strategy and operating goals and building a culture of accountability and success. Responsible for driving high operational output & performance, forecasting, scheduling and delivering operational excellence by creating and developing strong and effective relationships with internal customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversight of scheduling and staffing for clinical and care teams in multiple states and locations
- Serve as the system admin for the scheduling software making updates to the system as needed
- Develop and mentor team members to ensure a high level of engagement and success
- Oversee the day-to-day scheduling and staffing responsibilities
- Other responsibilities as identified
What You Need:
- 1+ years scheduling experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a leadership position with direct reports
- Associates Degree
- Proficiency in scheduling systems – Shift Admin experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Suite
- Knowledge and understanding of a clinical environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must possess high influencing skills and proven skillset in a production environment previously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through to completion.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including working additional hours in order to meet the needs of the team.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service to markets.
- Investigate and resolve escalated scheduling issues.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining task driven and organized.
- Strong customer service capabilities and great telephone presence.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Ability to think critically in complex situations.
