Devine Management Consulting, LLC Looking for Senior Manager of Tax at Remote Full Time

The Senior Manager of Tax will be a Subject Matter Expert. You will be the first member and be creating a tax team. In this role you will play a critical role in the preparation in tax provision and compliance, primarily manage U.S. income tax obligations, as well as other SALT, and sales and use tax compliance.

This is a remote position however; we prefer someone who resides in PST or MST time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the External Reporting team on quarterly tax provisions as well as owning the workstream associated with Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740) including computation of book tax differences, supporting work papers, account reconciliations and documentation, and all necessary US GAAP disclosures
• Manage / support all tax notices & inquiries from various authorities
• Manage SOX control testing and maintain SOX documentation and processes related to tax compliance
• Research and monitor issues and changes in various tax matters applicable to our operations
• Analyze business & operating strategies and advise on the application of US corporate income tax laws
• Ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed
• Identify and support tax technology and process improvement initiatives
• Oversee the preparation of calculations related to R&D.

Requirements:

• 6-10 years of relevant financial experience
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience dealing with tax matters
• Strong accounting and analytical skills with ability to research tax law and apply relevant tax law to specific fact patterns
• Must be detail-oriented and organized and be able to multi-task and work independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization
• Proven ability to collaborate, communicate, and manage complexity in simultaneous projects
• Knowledgeable of the U.S. tax systems, the state tax systems, and tax compliance law.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
