Delon Hampton & Associates Looking for Business Development/Proposal Coordinator at Washington, DC Full Time

DHA is seeking a talented and energetic, Business Development Proposal Coordinator to support the business development efforts of Delon Hampton & Associates in both our Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD offices.

Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and presentations for prospective clients, updating and maintaining the CRM system and contributing to the overall marketing efforts for the firm. The successful candidate will be a creative and detail-oriented person who welcomes challenges and takes initiative. A strong aptitude for writing (technical and creative), graphic design, excellent time management skills and multi-tasking proficiency are essential, along with strong proofreading, problem-solving and data manipulation skills.

‍Essential Duties | Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams (including subconsultants) and lead the planning and production of firm qualifications packages, requests for proposals and qualifications, presentations, and interviews;
• Update and maintain templates for proposals, qualification packages, project description sheets (PDS), resumes and presentations (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.);
• Prepare the graphics and layout for required marketing materials as needed;
• Procure and qualify short and long-term leads for various target audiences;
• Conduct research on industry and market trends to support firm offices; and
• Develop and maintain a network of corporate, industry, municipal, and community contacts to keep abreast of industry, client, and competitor activity.

Systems and Processes

• Update and manage all office marketing and business development opportunities using CRM (BST) software, including report generation.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, graphics;
• A minimum of two (2) years of previous experience preparing written and visual materials and/or marketing proposals in the A/E/C industry is preferred;
• Five (5+) years, should have Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), APMP Foundation Certification, or Shipley Business Development training and/or certification;
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Experience with CRM software is strongly desired;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including editing and proofing;
• Graphic design and layout skills required;
• Excellent time management skills. Must be comfortable in a deadline-driven role with the ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, team environment;
• Ability to communicate and present ideas in an organized, efficient and effective manner that results in clear understanding and action;
• Critical thinker with attention to detail; and
• Active driver’s license with flexibility to travel locally is required for meeting attendance, proposal/qualification development and submissions, and special event attendance/participation.
