Must be able to teach multiple math classes and an Advisory section
Must communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school
Must be skilled at teaching in a team atmosphere, including work on collaborative teacher teams.
Must be adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for all students.
Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches her/his full potential.
Must be willing to communicate with all stakeholders on a regular basis.
Must be willing to make accommodations and to differentiate instruction based on students’ needs.Must implement building-wide PBIS practices in support of building and district goals.
Must be willing to support and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for both academics and behavior.
Must be willing to integrate new technology-based strategies into the classroom.
Must attend and actively participate in all building and district professional development.
Good attendance and punctuality are necessary to insure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
