Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world’s original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio and is a brownfield plant start-up. The facility will be a Dana final assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products.

Successful candidates will be innovative and analytical thinkers who can both understand new technology inmanufacturing and be able to look at true capability and identify the right place to implement it, will begreat communicators that can work across diverse teams inside and outside the business, and willpossess the ability to think outside of the box and embrace change.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and own delivery of overall Industry 4.0 roadmap for manufacturing within Danabusiness units, including financial and technology goals.
• Partner with local plant team members, Productivity leaders, Lean leaders, ITand others to support and ensure alignment with current and future business unit goals
• Align with, support, and enhance the Lean-led / quality journeyLead research, development, and deployment of digital manufacturing technology and agileautomation production system solutions
• Utilize Industry 4.0 elements to improve process quality and productivity. Develop proof of concepts and scale them up to production levels locally and cross plant
• Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities, recommend solutions to reduce gaps, driverequired process changes to ensure value capture and drive realistic CI savings to meet and exceed AOP.
• Support hyper care, change management, training, and adoption of new technology on-site
• Develop and prepare formal cost justifications for purchase of capital equipment supported by data analytics.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials andutilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations andequipment and purchase of equipment.
• Conduct site surveys develop deep understanding of plant manufacturing processes and machine capability to capture data that will be used to design the systems.
• Create system requirements for each plant while standardizing those already created
• Collaborate with multiple functions including IT and Operations on project requirements anddeliverables to meet launch deadlines
• Drive maturity of the overall plant knowledge of technology, adoption of new technologies, andensure factories in the regions have the best access to the latest technological thinking andpossible solutions.
• Partner with the DOS team to ensure standardization and best practices are followedthroughout the businesses
• Leads Kaizen events and teams to solve problems and provide for productivity
• Create standardization with documentation and playbooks for future launches
• Sustain technology by analyzing and creating reports to continuously drive new insights and value

Skills Required:

• Experience working with multiple functions and disciplines in a matrix organization to buildconsensus and drive decision making. (Operations, Sourcing, finance, IT, etc.)
• Experience in metals fabrication industry (Welding, forming, fabricating, cutting, machining,

joining, assembly etc.)

• Lean manufacturing knowledge & RED X training certified preferred
• ERP/MES and other manufacturing systems knowledge/experience
• Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and the latest technology advances
• Ability to interact with Automation and Robotic systems to review product design and

specifications

• Preparing capital equipment justifications and requests
• Proficiency utilizing operations/computer simulation
• Project management skills to create, manage and deliver projects and budgets
• Decisive, confident, open, and candid with the ability to energize others
• Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and personal commitment
