Job Overview
Daimler Trucks North America, Product Validation Engineering (PVE) department is responsible for all component and system level validation work to assure our products are industry leaders in reliability as well as supporting lowest Total Cost of Ownership objectives for our customers. PVE’s Vehicle Performance Group is responsible for development and validation in the areas of Thermodynamics, Data Acquisition & Processing, Fuel Economy, Steering, Braking, Handling, NVH, and vehicle systems performance integration. The Vehicle Performance shop technicians act in support of the test engineers within Vehicle Performance group by installing prototype parts, instrumenting test vehicles, fixture and tool manufacture to support testing and driving the vehicle and performing the tests. We are looking for a technician with a positive attitude, good work ethic, who is capable of working independently but also as part of a team. This person must also be a driven self-starter who can coordinate and lead shop activities from initial planning phase through completion.
