Goodman Manufacturing, a member of Daikin Industries is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Workers Compensation Manager position at our DTTP – Waller, TX location. The Workers Compensation Manager supports a specific area or areas of the business. Serves as a consultant to management on claims or loss management matters and related issues while assessing and anticipating customer needs. Works with Corporate / specialist functions to develop and implement integrated solutions. Reviews/generates appropriate claims documentation, ensures proper authorizations, and adheres to stringent guidelines for expediting claims cases in the most satisfactory manner for both Goodman and injured party. Reviews incoming Incident Reports and informs appropriate managerial and executive personnel. About DTTP
Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin’s American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Responsibilities:
May include;
- Provide corporate risk and regulatory policy guidance and interpretation.
- Review/generate appropriate claims documentation, ensure proper authorizations, and adhere to stringent guidelines for expediting claims cases in the most satisfactory manner for injured party.
- Support the external Claims Adjusters in maintaining daily contact with injured party, ensuring employee understands prescribed medical treatment/physical therapy and is capable of performing work at acceptable standards upon receiving a Full Duty Release.
- Coordinate the investigation of all personal injury claims as necessary to third party administrators as assigned on specific claim.
- Monitor claimant’s attitude toward medical treatment/physical therapy and inform Director of Risk as circumstances warrant.
- Provide in-depth support to the team members and customers.
- Review Incident Reports and inform appropriate managerial and executive personnel if incident is severe.
- Complete incident investigation and required documentation retention.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and their dissemination.
- Provide oversight for handling of injury claims.
- Ensure appropriate regulatory recordkeeping.
- Prepare reports, communicate metrics, and maintain records.
- Analyze trends / metrics to develop solutions/programs/policies.
- Provide consulting to managers.
- Oversight for the property, business auto and liability (non-litigated) claims.
- Support corporate compliance auditing activities in all facilities.
- Develop and provide functional training.
- Control and supervise setting reserves for claims.
- Set strategy and goals/objectives for the worker’s compensation claims programs.
- Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

- Knows and applies fundamental worker’s compensation concepts, practices and procedures
- Has in-depth knowledge of claims management including investigations
- Proficient with MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint (Excel – V-lookups, Pivot Tables/Charts)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including business acumen.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy and problem solving skills.
- Effective organizational skills and time management skills including ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job and is compliance oriented.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Results orientated, dedicatin to excellence and sense of ugency to achieve business objectives.
Experience:
- 10-15 years preferably within a large volume manufacturing environment
- Fully competent professional
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
