The Opportunity
We’re expanding and as our business grows and our product range broadens, we’ve found it necessary to make significant investments in our organization. Notably, we’ve completed our new 85,000 sq ft landmark facility which was designed from the ground up to facilitate innovation. To navigate our dynamic and challenging legal landscape, we are on the hunt for an Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate is not just well-versed in a wide range of legal areas, but also brings a caring, proactive and driven approach, and is excited to become a key player and instrumental part of our busy legal team.
The Associate General Counsel is responsible for:
Working directly with the company’s General Counsel|Chief of Staff on a wide range of legal issues across multiple continents, including drafting and negotiating license agreements and general commercial business agreements, corresponding with opposing counsel, assisting with litigation, collaborating with various department heads, managing and enforcing the company’s IP portfolio, engaging with the company’s outside legal counsel and assisting with various corporate business and compliance matters.
Job Requirements:
* 2 years of Bar admitted attorney experience;
* Strong research and writing skills;
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment;
* Self-starter;
* Extremely organized and capable of handing a wide array of issues in a given day/week;
* Disciplined work ethic;
* High level communication & interpersonal skills;
* JD Degree from an accredited Law School;
* NY Bar Admission Required; NJ Bar Admission Preferred
