We have an opportunity for a Process Engineer at one of our manufacturing sites located at Widnes. Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, you will work under their guidance providing operations and project support.

A key requirement of this role will involve collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your process engineering and leadership skills to help maintain safe and reliable operations and to facilitate the delivery of capital projects. It is expected that you will have a working knowledge of the relevant engineering codes and standards and can demonstrate their practical application.

Essentials:

• Chemical / Process Engineering Degree
• Relevant industrial experience
• High degree of analytical and numeracy skills
• Proficient in report writing, producing documentation and the development of operating procedures and manuals
• Experience of supporting production / manufacturing operations
• Experience of working within multi-discipline teams
• Able to troubleshoot, problem solve, analyse data and suggest improvements to reduce loss / wastage
• Able to specify process equipment and produce datasheets
• Able to undertake project scoping, PFD/P&ID development and produce basis of design documentation
• Familiar with the concept of Process Safety and experience of undertaking and participating in safety studies
• Experience of Management of Change systems and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
• HAZOP, PRR and Risk Assessment experience

Desirables:

• Relevant Masters Degree or Equivalent
• Biotech manufacturing experience
• Process optimisation, loss prevention, energy reduction and waste minimisation experience
• Experience of working with design agencies and contractor organisations
• Project management and planning skills / experience
• NEBOSH (General)
• CAD
• SAP
