Summary
Develops, implements, and coordinates all accounting functions to support and maintain company growth by performing duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
• In charge of ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Ensure timely reporting of all financial information to management.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Coordinate and manage day-to-day operation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reception, general ledger, and payroll.
• Responsible for forecasting, monitoring cash flow and overseeing check runs.
• Provides input for monthly budget and monitors expenditure transactions.
• Oversee audit and internal control functions.
• Review and approve all non-purchase order invoices.
• Monitor preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, payroll tax, W-2s, and 1099s.
• Monitor preparation of bank reconciliation and capital asset accounting.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget documents, including compiling departmental expenditure budgets.
• Provide support to the VP of Finance and Administration in the departmental administration functions.
• Coordinate with financial analyst and cost analyst for month-end activities and reporting.
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Work with direct reports to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Crissair’s policies and applicable laws to include conducting interviews, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, issuing incentive and disciplinary action, and addressing and resolving problems
Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong accounting analysis skills required.
• Exceptional leadership abilities.
Language Skills
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write in simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
