Process Engineer

Essential Duties:

You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will establish process design basis, develop process options and optimizations of selected design, and calculate and organize data for process flow sheets.

Accountabilities:

• Proficient in AVEVA engineering E3D – delivering line, equipment and instrument list, equipment and instrument datasheet.
• Perform conceptual and detailed designs for the oil and gas Industries.
• Design fire water and cooling systems; specialty gas and chemical storage and delivery systems; solvent recovery systems; wastewater and off gas treatment systems.
• Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects.
• Design and planning equipment layout and sizing.
• Experience delivering PFD, PID, equipment and instrument data sheets.
• Experience delivering heat and material balances.
• HAZOP analysis knowledge.
• Experience on process simulation.
• Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
• Perform technical and business presentations with clients and employees
• Participate in the development and implementation of validation quality initiatives to address process and system inadequacies to achieve continual quality improvement objectives.
• Support in the review and approval of facilities & utilities (including software) related change requests.
• Ensure compliance of validation efforts performed by internal/external validation personnel.
• Ensure validation quality activities are in alignment with company goals, objectives and in compliance with Quality Systems.
• Participates and provides support in regulatory, internal and corporate audits.
• Responsible for escalating potential risks to Management.
• Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
• Provide support in the implementation plans for adherence to new regulatory requirements or expectations.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management.

Education and Experience:

• Technical/Professional expertise with 6 or more years of process engineering experience. At least 4 of those years must have been in an engineering/utilities environment.
• Required: B.A. or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience – Preferred technical degree (e.g. Electrical, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering etc.)
• Required knowledge of design and construction methods
• Preferred: Comprehensive understanding of building codes and application to Architectural and Engineering construction drawings.
• Engineer in Training (EIT)
