Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Remote work – United States

Compensation: $80,000 to $110,000 salary plus great benefits/PTO

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a self-motivated Senior Accountant to join its team. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and can work from home (optional) or report to one of our NY Metro Area facilities. Those details will be worked out upon hire but we’re flexible! Every day he/she will be challenged, handling month-end closing, sales tax, bank reconciliations, accounting reconciliations, etc. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM but will fluctuate depending on workload with some additional hours expected during the month-end close process. You’ll gain a lot of knowledge while being supported throughout your journey with us!

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
• Maintain reconciliations for areas such as: cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, intangibles, deferred rent, bonuses, etc…
• Reconcile corporate credit cards and ensure all transactions have supporting documentation.
• Perform multi-currency intercompany reconciliation between our various companies.
• Coordinate with our India team to receive their monthly trial balance and incorporate it into our parent company’s financial statements.
• Prepare monthly Sales & Use tax reconciliation and filing for multiple states. Serving as the go-to person for all sales tax-related inquiries.
• Post operations team hours into our accounting system on a monthly basis.
• Assist with year-end audits, bank audits, tax audits, etc…
• Maintain adequate internal controls over financial processes.
• Complete ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting preferred
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Excellent accounting and analytical skills; able to quickly master job duties and take on additional responsibilities with a positive team-player attitude.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel a MUST (may be tested during the interview process)
• Microsoft Dynamics SL is preferred but not required
• Payroll Processing within ADP Total Source is a plus but not required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills/sense of urgency/multi-task in a fast-paced tech environment
• Self-started and fast learner.
