Our client, a leader within the industry, is seeking an Electrical Engineer III candidate for a long term contract assignment. This position is a hybrid model. The Electrical Engineer III is an individual contributor who creates electronics for the Robotics and Automation product lines. This engineer participates in a multi-disciplinary engineering team to investigate product issues, design solutions, test, and support the transition of designs from engineering to manufacturing and then the field. This position will follow a hybrid work schedule of working onsite three days a week and two days working remotely.Â
Responsibilities
Evaluate design issues to determine root cause and potential solutions
Develop electrical devices and systems with a large variety of components
Design to meet product requirements and specifications, against time and cost restraints, considering DFM and serviceability
Participate in cross-functional design reviews
Create test plans to qualify new designs
Perform engineering verification testing and create test reports
Lead design change projects from project creation through change release
Estimate, manage, and report time required for multiple, concurrent tasks
Travel occasionally to domestic to evaluate manufacturing or service issues
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years Electrical Engineering experience
Demonstrated experience designing complex electrical subassemblies and systems
Proficient with using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software for creation of cable assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and block diagrams
Proficient with Bill of Materials, MRP systems, and ECR/ECO processes
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of medical products, markets, customers and business fundamentals
Experience with robotic systems
Experience with Agile PLM
Experience with DFMEA process
Experience with using DFSS methodologies during the design, validation and launch of products.
Working experience with FDA regulated, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environments
