Computer Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) Looking for Associate Accountant – Core Accounting, Excel – Healthcare – W2 at Remote Full Time

We currently have a contact position for an Associate Accountant working Remote.

Must be a US Citizen. W2 Candidates only. Will be working in the Eastern Time Zone.

Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

Associate Accountant Job Details

• 100% remote
• Possible contract to hire with the right fit

Responsibilities:

• Reviews Requisitions & Check requests for proper general ledger coding
• Create, enter, and upload monthly journal entries for the monthly close cycle. Performs corresponding monthly reconciliations
• Reconciles bank accounts, broker commission payments while properly identifying & correcting variances
• Provide reasoning for variances and make recommendations relative to the proper accounting corrections
• Coordinate & communicate with other departments, locations, and divisions to resolve problems
• Prepares financial and business-related analysis
• Analyze, evaluate, and interpret appropriate financial and statistical data
• Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions
• Communicate with Management as to project status and completion deadlines
• Classifies, examines, and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements
• Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

• High School / DEG required
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Must have core accounting experience
• Ability to understand debits, credits, and balance sheets
• Able to communicate clearly
• Experience with PC-based spreadsheet and data processing applications, heavy concentration with Microsoft Excel (formatting, calculations, pivot tables, vlookups)
• Analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong innovative problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of accounting procedures
• Knowledge of a variety of accounting classifications such as asset (prepaids), liability, and expense
• Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
• In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
