We are seeking elementary teachers to teach students skills and knowledge through programs aligned with Colorado Academic Standards.

Teachers help fulfill the school’s mission by planning, guiding, and evaluating the learning process of students within the framework of the school’s philosophy, organization, and curriculum. Teachers provide the ideal learning atmosphere and activities designed to maximize student competencies and skills for emotional, physical, social, and academic growth toward a successful future.
Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of effective teaching practices. Preferred experience and philosophical agreement with Direct Instruction (Madeline Hunter Method: I do, we do, you do), Teach Like a Champion techniques, skill mastery, high expectations, and classical education approach.
Programming and curricula include Core Knowledge Sequence®, Into Reading, Reveal Math, and Accelerated Reader.
Teacher Responsibilities:

• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of concepts and skills;
• Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes;
• Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons;
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning;
• Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner;
• Invigilating quizzes and final examinations;
• Documenting and reporting on students’ progress;
• Attending meetings with parents and staff;

Requirements: *

• Colorado Teaching License with Elementary Education endorsement OR 36 credit hours in Elementary Education
• OR passed the PRAXIS test for Elementary Education
• Specific knowledge of subject assigned;
• Teachers for grades K-3 MUST have completed the CDE 45-hour literacy training requirement
• Teachers for grades K-2 MUST agree to attend PD July 18-21 (additional compensation)

• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Previous teaching experience preferred or other work with children.
