Commercial Vehicle Group Looking for Accounts Receivable Supervisor at New Albany, OH Full Time

Overview:

The Accounts Receivables Supervisor has the responsibility to direct and manage staff and all operations of the Accounts Receivable office, including coaching, training, and developing staff. A/Re is responsible for recording deposits and applying payments in the sub-ledgers accurately, including month-end and year-end close. This position has oversight for customer collections and related processes (including dunning and electronic invoicing/portal management), certain general ledger account reconciliations, system upgrades and implementations, analyses, and special projects. This individual must have a sound understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial systems, and internal controls. This individual must be proactive in identifying business solutions; can improve and streamline policies, procedures, and processes; is proficient in documenting policies and procedures; and can create opportunities for enhanced customer service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties may be assigned.

• Actively performing in the role of a Shared Services Associate (working supervisor) while providing leadership assistance for the department and support to other employees as functional experts.
• Lead role in troubleshooting and successfully resolving issues.
• Enabling direct reports to complete work accurately and on schedule.
• Develop and ensure department goals & objectives are met.
• Providing excellent service to both internal and external customers; interfacing with CVG management.
• Responsible for managing the department workload day-to-day, while providing assistance and leadership.
• Actively hire, evaluate manage, train and coach direct reports.
• Act as a functional expert; enable direct reports to complete work accurately and timely.
• Maintain reports and perform analyzing daily on work product to identify risks and opportunities. Present updates to Department Management and operational leaders.
• Participate and or lead Six Sigma / Lean special teams and projects as assigned.
• Key participant in process improvement initiatives in Credit to Cash processes.
• Perform additional duties and projects as required.

• Assist with AR projects, other special projects, and AR audit.
• Assist in the development, upgrade, implementation and testing of new systems, special projects, initiatives, analysis, and process.

Requirements:

• College Degree in Finance / Accounting is preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience preferably in accounts receivable and 1-3 years of entry level supervisory experience required. Combination of experience and college education considered.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; able to properly communicate across multiple levels of the organization.
• Fluent with MS Office & experience working in a multiple ERP environment.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, vlookups) necessary to analyze data.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and work efficiently.
• Team player able to work well in a group and take direction as well as an individual contributor able to work autonomously in a fast pace environment.

• Flexible availability to work atypical hours to support the department as needed.
• Travel to other CVG locations to support financial initiatives and activities as needed.
