CLA is looking to hire a Staff Accountantto join our growing Business Operations (BizOps) practice in our Cedar Rapids, IA location. This is a full-time, long-term career opportunity serving multiple CLA clients on a permanent, part-time basis; it is not an outsourced temporary position.

As a Staff Accountantyou will:
Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing.
Day to Day Transactions: Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
Month End Processing: Completes basic financial statements. Coordinates and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals.)
Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.
What you will bring to the table as a Staff Accountant:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field OR Associates degree in Accounting or related field plus 2 years of accounting experience OR Associates in unrelated field plus Accounting Certificate plus 2 years of accounting experience.
One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred, exceptions can occur based on work to be performed.
Technical knowledge of QuickBooks and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
