Our HR Generalist Senior (aka People Solutions Field Senior) supports the day to day HR needs, walking side by side with the leadership and provide guidance and consultation on how policies and programs can be leveraged to meet business needs, and help build and develop the people and culture needed to achieve the CLA promise and firm initiatives.
The Senior will work under the mentorship of the Regional Director of Field People Solutions that covers the region, and will support our Central Coast and Bay Area offices. The role will primarily sit in in either Salinas or San Jose, so candidates from either location will have to travel to the other offices 2-3 days per week. This is our mid-level role with advancement opportunities to Director or specialized HR functional roles as the firm continues to grow.
Work Activities and Accountabilities:
Leadership: Supports Managing Principals to deliver service excellence on all firm-wide, andPeople Solutions related strategies, initiatives, and processes in partnership with the People Solutions Regional Director or Director. Responsible for focusing on their professional development. Embodies the CLA Promise, and is developing knowledge of the CLA business, our industry, and what differentiates us.
Talent Management: Under guidance of People Solutions Regional Director or Director, supports and guides local office efforts to build and develop employees through coaching, learning, and experiences by connecting regularly with office leaders and Career Coach Champions. Encourages local office participation in roundtables. Develops an understanding of the Compensation the CLA Way philosophy. In partnership with the People Solutions Regional Director or Director, collaborates with office leadership on annual process decisions including advancement and compensation decisions.

Education/Experience/Certification:
Experience: 3 or more years of experience leading teams with HR generalist type of responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
Certification/ Licenses: None required.
