Cleveland-Cliffs Looking for Human Resources Representative at Princeton, WV Full Time

Cleveland-Cliffs Princeton Coal Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Human Resources Representative.  The Human Resources Representative will serve as a business partner and provide superior human resource services to our employees. This position will support a broad range of human resource activities including recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. This position will be in our Charleston, West Virginia office and will require travel to our various mining operations and Princeton office on an as needed basis.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Coordinate recruiting for hourly and salaried positions including advertisement, testing, interviewing, managing candidate flow, and background checks
• Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
• Responsible for employee onboarding, orientation, and training coordination
• Coordinate new hire orientations
• Conduct exit interviews on terminating employees
• Create and maintain Human Resources databases and files
• Maintain current knowledge of the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
• Responsible and accountable for records required by Federal and State laws and regulation of Human Resources i.e., FMLA, ADA, AAP
• Assist in administering employee welfare/benefit plans
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
• Minimum three years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist in mining or related industry
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Team player with ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of people.
• Strong computer proficiency including MS Office Suite and HRIS systems   
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PHR or SPHR certification
