Clark Dietz Looking for Bentley CAD Specialist at Remote Full Time

We currently have an opportunity for a Bentley CAD Specialist to join our firm to support, configure, and deploy Bentley CAD software including OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and GeoPak. The position will also support the engineering team with design, modeling, and plan production for Phase I and Phase II transportation projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform uniform setup and configuration of Bentley CAD products for users throughout the company.
• Implement and maintain IDOT and INDOT CAD standards for OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation/GeoPak throughout the company.
• Maintain CAD workstations with the latest standards and updates as required by Bentley and our clients.
• Create, maintain, and monitor the OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation/GeoPak Team sites within the company.
• Support users with troubleshooting and developing necessary fixes or work arounds due to product issues.
• Interact with Bentley support to escalate and resolve any software issues.
• Evaluate and recommend other Bentley tools to improve work efficiency.
• Assist engineering staff with design tasks and with the production of construction and bid documents for projects.
• Train other Bentley CAD users and develops standards and best practices for users throughout the company.

Position Requirements

• A.S. degree in Engineering Technology and/or Bentley certifications are desired.
• 7+ years of experience as a CAD Designer or CAD Manager in the Civil Engineering field.
• High level of proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation SS4/SS10, and Geopak and is required.
• Experience with latest IDOT CAD Standards for roadway geometrics, topographic survey, boundary survey, and plats of highways.
• Experience with the latest IDOT CAD Modeling and Deliverables Manual
• Design experience for transportation projects (roadway and structures).
• Proficient with using Microsoft tools including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with CAD users across multiple offices.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to occasionally travel to other offices is required
