Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program Open Position for a Fellow in Washington D.C
Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. has an open Pediatric Colorectal Fellowship Position in our training program beginning in July of 2023. The length of the program ranges from 1-2 years. The fellow’s experience will be in advanced colorectal and pelvic reconstruction surgery and collaborating specialties including colorectal surgery, GI Motility, urology and gynecology. The fellow will have dedicated research time, ongoing participation in data collection and QI projects focused on colorectal and pelvic reconstruction surgery in pediatric patients as well as the study of optimal curriculum development for pediatric surgical education in the area of colorectal surgery. In addition, the fellow is expected to submit at least two papers for publication.

Prerequisite for training:
– Completion of 2 years of general surgery training in an ACGME approved training program before July 1st, 2023.
– 2 letters of recommendation, at least one from current training program.
– Completion of medical school in the U.S. or Canada or be ECFMG certified if an international medical graduate.
– Obtaining a District of Columbia unrestricted medical license prior to starting fellowship training.
– Successful completion with a passing grade all three steps of the USMLE.
