As a Patient Accounts Specialist II at Children’s Health, you’ll contribute to making life better for children by processing claims efficiently and resolving billing problems. Your responsibilities will also include:
Ÿ Complying with third-party contracts, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ÿ Ensuring charges have been billed within guidelines.
Ÿ Participating in process-improvement initiatives.
Shift: This position will require you to work Monday through Friday with a flex start time of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. This is also a remote position.
Required experience and skills
Ÿ At least two years of health care experience
Ÿ At least two years of customer service experience
Ÿ Knowledge of general procedures and guidelines used by health insurance companies, government agencies and employee benefits departments, and familiarity with health care provider billing and collections procedures
Ÿ Excellent mathematical and computer skills, experience with Microsoft applications and a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
Ÿ Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and to become fully integrated within a team
Ÿ Written and verbal proficiency in English
Required education
Ÿ High school diploma or equivalent
Ÿ Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
Licenses and certifications
Ÿ Preferred: HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
